Homemade Daffodil Card
I made these daffodils with the Marvy Clever Lever Floral Punch Set. This is a great punch except it jams easily if you try to punch only one shape at a time. It might be worth the “wasted” paper to punch all the shapes at one time. But keep the spare parts because one day you may think of a use for a green flower, etc. (I’ll let you know if that happens to me!!!). This is a hard punch to find now but as of the time of this post Oriental Trading Company if carrying them.
I also used a Recollection mini flower punch and a small flower punch from Paper Studios for the centers of the daffodils. I punched the centers darker or lighter than the flower and then used an adhesive foam dot to attach it to the main flower. For the small flower you may have to cut the dot so it doesn’t stick out past the center. Using a foam dot makes it look more like a daffodil as the flower has some dimension.
I used a light blue greeting card and a strip of dark brown paper cut to fit the card. I then tore the top of the brown strip to make it look more like soil. You could also further embellish the card with a sun and butterflies.
